Rooted in the neoclassical traditions of ancient Rome and Greece, the Empire style flourished during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte. Characterized by strong symmetry, bold proportions, and opulent decoration, this movement celebrated imperial power and classical ideals. Architectural motifs such as laurel wreaths, acanthus leaves, palmettes, and mythological emblems were often combined with luxurious finishes - a perfect harmony between structure and ornament.
