An early 20th Century painted metal hotte from France. It is decorated with a handpainted coat of arms featuring the emblem of Chateauneuf du Pape. The two crossed keys are entwined. Chateauneuf du Pape is a commune in the southern Rhone Valley and renowned for its vineyards. The majority of its arable land is devoted to viticulture and the production of its celebrated red wine appellation. A charming and characterful decorative object, ideal for a wine cellar, bar area, kitchen or restaurant interior.
Minor scratches, patina, and oxidation due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. 1900-1920, France.
