Green Grape Hotte with Châteauneuf-du-Pape Inscription
dec-1796
This antique French grape hotte dates to the early 1900s and has been hand-painted in a vibrant green. Across the front, the words “CHÂTEAUNEUF DU-PAPE” appear in bold black and gold lettering, flanked by a gold coat of arms. The central emblem features a papal tiara above two crossed keys entwined in scrolling ribbon—an homage to the historic Rhône wine village. Originally used by vineyard workers to carry harvested grapes, this piece now makes a stunning decorative accent in a wine room or country kitchen.
