A pair of finely hand carved monumental garden lanterns or photophores in limestone. These beautiful raised garden lanterns with the circular bodice have been carved in the Arabesques style with an intricate pattern, circular bodice. The heavy lidded top is surmounted by a sphere. The circular footed base is adorned with a continuous carving of acanthus leaves and is placed on a square platform. Nicely weathered patina.
