A pair of graciously hand-carved limestone classical garden statues. These female sculptures have been carved after an allegorical scene of the bathing Venus. The pair of weathered Italian limestone ornaments are facing one another and holding their classical robes respectfully, either right or left hand. The modeled fabric is beautifully draped around their backs. The figurative garden ornaments sit on square attached bases and are elevated by beveled plinths.
Wear consistent with age and use, circa 20th Northern Italy.
