A Pair of long architectural console tables featuring a substantial rectangular carved limestone top, richly detailed with a continuous classical egg and dart frieze along the apron. The front edge is decorated with an elegant sequence of deeply carved scrolling fluted forms, creating a strong rhythm of light and shadow characteristic of French Neoclassical ornament.

The softly weathered, warm ivory-gray stone has a beautiful naturally aged and lightly timeworn surface. The ornamental carving gives the piece an impressive yet sophisticated presence.

The original architectural element has been thoughtfully mounted on a minimalist  blackened iron base, with slender square legs and geometric cross-bracing. The contemporary base provides a crisp contrast to the historic-looking limestone and makes the console particularly versatile for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

A wonderful example of architectural transformed into functional furniture, equally compelling in an entry hall, living room, dining room, or covered terrace.
