A Mid-Century modern unusual pair of cone shaped Willy Guhl for Eternit cement garden vessels. These planter have been fiber - reinforced. Vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 Switzerland.
Willy Guhl was a furniture maker, interior designer, teacher and a product designer born in 1915, in Stein am Rhein, Switzerland and passed away in 2004. Guhl finished his apprenticeship as a cabinet maker at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. He opened his own design studio and workshop in 1939. In 1943, he co-founded the Association of Swiss Interior Designers and in 1966, the Association of Swiss Industrial Designers. Guhl's work is known for his weather-resistant cement designs produced by the Swiss company Eternit.
