Hand carved in the Gothic style, this elaborate and highly decorative circular Italian limestone wellhead. The finely hand chiseled scenes are enclosed top and bottom by egg and dart moldings. The garden ornament is positioned onto a larger circular platform of 5” in height. The wellhead includes a very ornate hand forged overthrow, and included the pulley and chain. Antique weathered grey natural patina, wear consistent with age and use. Circa 20th Century, Northern Italy.
