An early 19th century antique set of Four dining chairs from Southern Germany, crafted from cherrywood with partial veneer and finished in a hand shellac-polished surface. The warm, lustrous finish enhances the natural grain and highlights the quality craftsmanship of each piece.
These sculptural shovel-back side chairs feature gently curved backrests that create an elegant silhouette, supported by four slender, elongated legs and refined proportions. Newly upholstered seats provide refreshed comfort while remaining true to the chairs’ original character, finished in a green-and-white fabric.
Minor fading and light surface scratches consistent with age and use. Circa 1820–1840, South Germany.
