A small Mediterranean jar with four handles and weathered patina. The vase has an aged white washed patina acquired over time. It protects the terracotta clay from harsh weather conditions or to cool food and olive oil during the summer time. Each hand thrown classic Greek amphora is unique in dimensions and surface. Typically these vases are embellished with a ring decor along the along the curved Baluster shaped bodice. Weathered patina, wear consistent with age and use. Circa late 19th Century.
