A set of two Mid-Century modern rare Tulip garden planters (PON-1337 and PON-1329) by Willy Guhl designed in a lightweight cement. These vintage planters have been fiber - reinforced. One of them has cut corners. Wear consistent with age and use, for outdoor use. Circa 1960 France.
Willy Guhl was a furniture maker, interior designer, teacher and a product designer born in 1915, in Stein am Rhein, Switzerland, and passed away in 2004. Guhl finished his apprenticeship as a cabinet maker at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. He opened his own design studio and workshop in 1939. In 1943, he co-founded the Association of Swiss Interior Designers and in 1966, the Association of Swiss Industrial Designers. Guhl's work is known for his weather-resistant cement designs.
