An ancient olive jar Pithari in terra cotta with three handles and a weathered white washed patina. The classic amphora form with its ring décor and three ear handles originated in Greek pottery thousands of years ago. This antique large scale Mediterranean pottery was hand-thrown. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa late 19th Century
