A large raised Renaissance-style Italian terra cotta fountain head with intricate hand crafted ornaments. This ornate basin is decorated with the classical architectural ornaments. The Acanthus leaves and egg, dart patterns and centered cherub define this garden ornament, which could also be used as a raised flower trough. Wear consistent with age and use. 20th Century, Montaione Italy.
