A pair of concrete cone planters with natural aged patina by Willy Guhl made in the late 1950’s in Switzerland. Drainage hole is provided. Wear consistent with age and use.
Willy Guhl was a furniture maker, interior designer, teacher and a product designer born in 1915 Stein am Rhein, Switzerland and passed away in 2004 Switzerland. Guhl finished his apprenticeship as a cabinet maker at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. He opened his own design studio and workshop in 1939. In 1943, he co-founded the Association of Swiss Interior Designers and in 1966 the Association of Swiss Industrial Designers. Guhl's work is known for his weather-resistant cement designs produced by the Swiss company Eternit.
